Congratulations Sara!

My younger sister Sara graduated from WMU's nursing program on Friday night. Luke and I went with my parents and Aunt Diane to see her "pinned." Pinning is like the "passage of a student to an official nurse" (we learned that during the ceremony). Sara is now going to be working at Blogett on the orthopedic floor. She's worked so hard for this and I'm so proud of her - there is no way that I could do what she'll be doing!

Chicago

Luke and I took our first weekend trip away from Jackson last weekend. We took the train down in Chicago with Lori and Scott. Of course we did some shopping and ate at the Cheesecake Factory (yum!). This time we also went to Shedd's Aquarium. It was a fantastic weekend and I think that Jackson had just as much fun at Grandma's house!

Pizza Hut with the Florida Crew

We've spent many spring breaks down in Florida with Uncle Bern, Aunt Jan and the rest of the family down in Orlando. Unfortunately this year Mom and Dad, Bern and Jan AND Mike (don't know how he fit into the equation!) went down to Florida in January so we didn't go during spring break. However, we did decide that we needed to still get together and plan next year (right Dad?!). Cohen was being quite the goof though. He poured out the salt and pepper and was rubbing it on his face. He reminds me more and more of my brother every day!

Spring break at the beach?

The first weekend of spring break was so beautiful outside so we decided to head to the beach at Sandy Pines with Jackson. We thought it would be a good idea to get him used to the sand for the summer. He was pretty intrigued with the sand but was ready for a nap so we didn't stay too long. Next time we hope it's warm enough to play longer.

Welcome Baby Jayden!

My good friend Nicki had her second daughter on April 5. Nicki and I began teaching together and then she had Miya and decided to be a stay at home mom. Now she has two beautiful daughters! And yes, Miya and Jackson are kissing in the picture... I hear wedding bells.

First Haircut

Jackson had his first haircut over spring break. Grandma Hansen came over to cut it and we were amazed at how still our "wiggly" son sat. He looks so much better without hair covering his ears now. Thanks Grandma!

9 Month Pictures

Jackson had his 9 month pictures taken on Friday. This time they went so much better because we had a fantastic photographer. Jackson did want to crawl away several times but we managed to get several good shots of him.
