Jackson's buddy Scott

Our friends Scott and Lori DeVisser came over on Saturday for a trip to Joe's (a classic country restaurant!) and then for some hang out time. Of course the boys turned on ESPN while us girls took a walk. Jackson is quite intrigued by Scott (we joke that it's because they can relate so well intellectually!). It was a great time though and we feel blessed to have such fantastic friends.

Big boy car seat

I have to admit, Jackson was having a really healthy winter until his stomach flu hit - now we have just had one thing after another. At least his immunity is getting better! Yesterday I took Jackson in and we discovered that he had a double ear infection - no wonder the kid has been wanting to cuddle all the time (he is usually not our cuddler)!

We did manage to head out on Saturday though and since Jackson is getting to be so tall (his feet are sticking out of his carseat) we put in the convertible car seat. He really enjoyed being able to sit up and look around.

Time with Mommy

I had conferences on Monday and Tuesday night so I didn't get to see Jackson much but thankfully I had Thursday and Friday off to spend with him. On Thursday we stayed home all day and played. I am amazed at how quickly Jackson is changing! I definitely am loving this stage with him.

Jackson refused to take a nap for us so we put Rudi in his crib to see what Jackson would do and the two of them kept biting on the crib!

We also gave Jackson his first teething biscuit (I know it sounds like a dog biscuit!). Anyways, he LOVED it! 30 minutes later he definitely needed a bath.

Finally healthy!

We've had a really long week and a half. In that time, both Jackson and Luke came down with the stomach flu and Jackson now has an ear infection. Despite all of that illness, Jackson still managed to learn to crawl during the time. I'll try to get some pictures of him crawling.

But Jackson is thrilled because his Aunt Sara is home from Western for spring break. She's already watched him a couple of times and he loves seeing her. In fact, when she first came over Jackson saw her and just started smiling (despite the fact that we were terribly mean and woke him up!). I'm sure she'll make sure we have plenty of pictures of him (she had one adorable one of him but he has a snot bubble so I decided that might be kind of gross to post!).

Our little beaver

Jackson has been starting to chew on his crib and anything else made of wood. I'm pretty sure it's those teeth coming in (there are 6 of them now).

Jackson and his cousins

Last Sunday we all got together for dinner and Dad and Mom's. Mom sees both Cohen and Jackson every Thursday but it was fun for us to see them play together. I'm pretty sure that they really tired out Mom when she has them:) Then on Monday, Jackson went to his Grandma Hansen while I ran some errands. Luke's Mom watches Lauryn on Mondays so Jackson spent some time with her while he was there.

Jackson and Lucas

Our good friend Lucas came over this weekend to play with Jackson. Jackson LOVED Lucas! Whenever Lucas was around, Jackson was watching him and smiling. It was a big help for Luke and I as well because we could actually get some things done while Jackson was awake.
